The Owls-Tide on-field rivalry is almost nonexistent. They have played Alabama twice — both since 2012 and both blowout losses (40-7 and 41-0) — but the two programs have one big connection: Lane Kiffin.
Kiffin left his offensive coordinator post at Alabama days before last year's national championship to become Florida Atlantic head coach. And the man known for trolling his former employers (i.e. Tennessee) is subtext of an amusing "Roll Owls" video from the FAU's crafty and feisty social media team.
