80: Adam Anderson, WR (Sr.) — South Dakota State

A lot of the outside focus for the 2018 Jackrabbits in the preseason is how they would replace All-American pass catchers Dallas Goedert and Jake Wieneke. Those two names were probably said more than the current players on the roster during the summer months.

But the receivers quickly made a name for themselves with the likes of Cade Johnson and Anderson stepping into bigger roles. After showing flashes in previous seasons, their abilities were unleashed.

Anderson had 27 catches for 355 yards and zero touchdowns in 2016 and 2017. Last year, he recorded 47 receptions for 718 yards and seven touchdowns, all ranking second in an offense that threw for 250.5 yards a game (34th in the FCS) and scored 42.5 points per game (5th).

The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder earned All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honorable mention honors.

SDSU is breaking in a new starting quarterback this season. The play of Anderson is key in the Jacks making another deep playoff run.
