FCS: Which 2019 Playoff Teams Have The Most Defensive Production Coming Back?

The page has turned to the 2020 FCS season. When discussing the early contenders, you have to start by looking at the 24 playoff teams.

Which postseason rosters have the biggest turnover? Which teams have a ton of production coming back?

RELATED:

  • Top Returning Passers
  • Returning Rushing Production
  • Returning Receiving Production
  • Most Returning Points
  • Most Returning Tackles

Here we break down which 2019 playoff teams have the most returning defensive production by looking at returning tackles. How did we come up with the percentage? We only looked at the Top 15 tacklers on each team. Guys No. 16 and below typically had 20 tackles or less that usually occurred late in decisive games. So we totaled up the number of total tackles from the Top 15 players, then added up the number of tackles returning in 2020 and then divided it. Math is fun. The 2019 PPG is just to note how the 2019 defense performed.
