93: Randy Robinson, senior defensive lineman – Jacksonville State
The Gamecocks knew they had a star in Robinson the first time he saw game action. As a freshman in 2015 against No. 6 Auburn, who JSU almost upset, he recorded two unassisted tackles and recovered a fumble. He's been in the starting lineup ever since, blowing up offensive lines at 6-foot-2, 305 pounds.
Robinson was named to HERO Sports' 2016 FCS All-Sophomore Team. He continued to improve in 2017, totaling 35 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and five quarterback hurries. JSU's star-studded defense had six players who made the Ohio Valley Conference First or Second Team, with Robinson being named on the second.
The Gamecocks are one of the leaders in the FCS on sending talent to the NFL. Robinson will certainly get an opportunity with a solid senior season. He's currently ranked the 43rd best defensive tackle in college football by NFLDraftScout and the No. 1 FCS DT prospect.
