Much like we see at the FBS level where the College Football Playoff Committee releases a top 25 poll in the weeks leading up to the playoff selection, the FCS Playoff Committee will give FCS fans a look at who's in the running for a top seed in the 2017 FCS Playoffs.
As reported by STATS FCS Senior Editor Craig Haley, the top 10 will be announced twice leading up to selection Sunday. Here's the schedule:
"The rankings will be announced during the halftime studio shows of two games on ESPNU, the first being Idaho at Troy on Nov. 2 (9:15 p.m. ET kickoff) and the second Georgia Southern at Appalachian State on Nov. 9 (7:30 p.m. ET)."
So that's two sets of top 10's released Thursday, Nov. 2 and Thursday, No. 9. Selection Sunday is Sunday, November 18.
The ranking announcement will give fans an idea of what the committee is thinking as the FCS Playoffs draw closer.
