Trailing Clemson, 28-20, with two minutes, 22 seconds remaining in Week 2, Texas A&M faced 3rd-and-8 from the Tigers' 25-yard-line. Aggies' quarterback Kellen Mond completed a pass to Quartney Davis, who bolted toward the corner of the end zone. Davis extended the ball toward the goal line but lost control when hit by Clemson safety K'Von Wallace.
Initially, it was a rule an out-of-bounds fumble and the Aggies retained possession. However, after an inconclusive replay, it was called a touchback and Clemson received possession. Texas A&M ultimately had a game-tying two-point conversion attempt minutes later (which failed) but the fumble-touchback might have altered the outcome of the game.
