The 2018 NFL Draft is coming at us quickly now that we have witnessed yet another thrilling national championship. The yearly extravaganza will take place in Arlington, Texas, from Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28 this year.
Over the span of three days, a whole host of former college football stars will find new homes where they will hopefully impress during the offseason and make a living playing on Sundays.
COMPARE: Griffin Oakes (2017) vs. Eddy Pineiro (2017)
This video from the Big Ten Network features Indiana K Griffin Oakes. Oakes had a rough year in 2016, but he bounced back in a major way last season to elevate his stock and look like a draftable prospect in the late rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft.
In 2017 Oakes was named the Big Ten Kicker of the Year – for the second time in his career – after putting together the most efficient season at Indiana. He made 16-of-17 field goal attempts, with his only miss coming via a block against Michigan. If Oakes can play at his 2015 or 2017 level as a pro then he will find himself with a roster spot.
