COMPARE: Kendrick Norton (2017) vs. Nathan Shepherd (2017)[divider]
This video from T-Highlights features Miami DT Kendrick Norton. Many NFL teams need a big, strong, active player in the middle of their defensive line. This is especially true if that team plays a 3-4 defense and needs a nose tackle to control the point of attack.
At 6-foot-3 and 318 pounds, Norton is a load to move off of the line of scrimmage and that gives him value as a nose tackle that will play on Sundays. In 2017, Norton had 26 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, and two sacks, numbers that are impressive for a player whose primary job is just to keep blockers off of his linebacker teammates.
