If the New York Giants pass on Saquon Barkley, they could be targeting Josh Allen with the No. 2 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

"You can see where this is headed," one NFL personnel evaluator told ESPN. "Just look at all their moves this offseason. It leads to Saquon Barkley."
The Giants are sandwiched between two quarterback-needy teams in the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets and hold a pick that guarantees one of the top three (or four) quarterbacks in the 2018 class. One of those top quarterbacks is Allen, who could be of interest if available.
"Wyoming's Josh Allen also has support among coaches in the building, according to a source," wrote ESPN's Jordan Raanan on Monday. "That's not a surprise. Coaches always seem to think they can take those skills and mold them into a star player."
Raanan also made it clear this is only speculation because Sam Darnold is "believed to be the top choice" and Josh Rosen "has the tape to blow away" general manager Dave Gettleman.
So, to conclude, we have absolutely no idea what the Giants are planning to do with the No. 2 pick. Carry on.
