The time has come to honor the best tennis players in the country at the D3 level with the honorees for HERO of The Week. Each week we will have a list of nominees for you to vote for that stood out in competition over the week prior.
Voting will take place in the poll at the bottom of this article following the list of nominees. Voting only takes place in the poll, and the voting will close on Friday at 10:00 a.m. PST for each poll.
Without further ado, here are the nominees for HERO of The Week!

Josh Newman, Schreiner
Newman grabbed the first win in singles play in the third round vs Texas Lutheran. The standout was able to win in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.

Lubomir Cuba, Middlebury
Cuba got the ball rolling for Midd against the second ranked program in the country Bowdoin. Starting with a three-set win, Cuba started a complete sweep for his team sans one victory for Bowdoin in singles play.

Tilden Oliver, Trinity
Oliver was one of a few winners for the Tigers in singles play versus Southwestern, winning 6-1, 6-2. The victory marked his first in his last four matches.

Boris Sorkin, Tufts
This Jumbos standout returns to the list of nominees after being his team's only winner in a dual match with Wesleyan. Sorkin has yet to lose in the year 2018.

Nicolas Chua, Chicago
Chua was the third player in singles play but just the first winner for the third-ranked Maroons against Gustavus Adolphus. Beating the 35th-ranked player in D3, he won 6-1, 6-7, 6-2.

Nikolai Parodi, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Parodi was the kickstarter to a big 9-0 sweep for CMS against Pomona-Pitzer, winning in straight sets to start the day. In the process of winning, this CMS standout beat the 17th-ranked player in D3.

Jarrett Pelton, St. John Fisher
Pelton was one of manny singles winners for SJFC against Oswego, but had one of the best overall performances. In come-from-behind fashion, the Cardinal standout won following a first set loss in which he was blanked 0-6.
