Former Notre Dame head coach and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Muffet McGraw will join EPSN and the ACC Network as a studio analyst for the 2020-2021 women’s basketball season.
McGraw stepped away from coaching following the 2021 season after 33 years at Notre Dame. During her time with the Irish we compiled 936 career victories, two NCAA Championships titles (2001 & 2018) and made nine Final Four appearances. Notre Dame won 14 regular-season conference titles, 11 Big East/ACC tournament titles.
“Muffet McGraw is on the Mount Rushmore of women’s college basketball coaches and we are elated to have her join ACC Network,” said ACC Network producer Aaron Katzman per release. “Along with her hall of fame pedigree Coach McGraw will bring to our studio shows informed perspective, in depth analysis, and insight that transcends beyond the court.”
McGraw’s studio debut is slated for the November 11-12th for the ACC Women’s Basketball Tipoff and Operation Basketball which is set to being at 5:00pm ET both nights.
“I am thrilled to be joining the ACC Network,” McGraw said following the announcement. “As a coach, I loved being part of the ACC and have always believed it is one of the best conferences in the country. I am thankful to be surrounded by a great studio team including Kelsey Riggs, Kelly Gramlich and Monica McNutt to help me make a smooth transition from coach to analyst.”
McGraw was inducted in the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011 followed by the prestigious Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017
As of now, the ACC is scheduled to begin non-conference play Wednesday, November 25. Specific times are still TBD.
