One of the sneakier teams hanging out in the bottom of the preseason top 25 is Washington State. The Cougars are a team not many are talking about outside of the Pacific Northwest, but they got their season off to a comfortable start with a 31-0 win over Montana State.

These FCS games are ones most FBS schools take for granted, but Washington State — and particularly head coach Mike Leach — have abysmal track records in season openers no matter who they play. On this day though the Cougars short passing and run after catch game proved to be too much for the Bobcats to handle.
