Conferences With Most 1st-Round Draft Picks in Last 5, 10 Years

The SEC had the most first-round picks of any conference in the 2017 NFL Draft, extending heir already-sizable lead over the last five and 10 years.

Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett was the first of 12 first-round picks from the SEC, and even though the Big Ten finished the first round with three of the final five picks, the SEC is still dominating the Big Ten and everyone else.

Between 2013-17, the SEC had 50 first-round draft picks, 22 more than any other conference, as noted by ESPN's Chris "Bear" Fallica. The ACC is second with 28, followed by the Pac-12 (27), Big Ten (21) and Big 12 (11).

When extending it to the last 10 years, the margin swells significantly. Between 2008-17, the SEC has 90 first-rounders, followed by the ACC (50), Pac-12 (46), Big Ten (42) and Big 12 (41).

Though the SEC won't dominate the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, they will still compete for the most first-round selections and maintain their healthy five- and 10-year leads.
