The 2017 rendition of the New Orleans Bowl provides a sneaky good matchup between the high-flying offense of North Texas and the stifling defense of Troy.

The Mean Green finished the regular season ranked #18 in the country on offense with 467-yards-per game and #20 in scoring at 35.9-points-per contest. It will go up against a Trojans defense ranked #11 in points given up per game at just 17.5, which included holding LSU to just 21 points in a stunning road upset back in September.
The final game of the season for both squads is also a final audition for each team's top NFL prospects.

The one-two punch of Troy's backfield consisting of Jordan Chunn running behind fullback Gabe Hill will be something to keep an eye on.
After racing for 1,288 yards and 16 touchdowns his junior year, the senior's numbers have dipped a bit this year due to missing a pair of games in October. Chunn has 774 yards on the ground to go along with 10 touchdowns, but he's upped his average from 4.6 per carry in 2016 to 5.0 per attempt this year.

On the Mean Green side of the ball, kicker Trevor Moore is an incredible 151 for 151 on extra points in his career and is hitting on 90.5 percent of his field goal attempts this season, including an impressive 9 of 11 from 40-plus yards.
