Who would've known the multi-sport small-town star would be playing either alongside or against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers six years later.
Goedert was an unranked, unrated and unknown recruit from the tiny town in northeastern South Dakota. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound tight end and unicycle master had zero scholarship offers and opted for a walk-on opportunity 140 miles south at South Dakota State. After racking up 21 touchdowns and nearly 3,000 receiving yards for the Jackrabbits, Goedert is, unsurprisingly, the top 2018 NFL Draft prospect from the state of South Dakota.
Who else joins Goedert as the top 2018 draft prospects from their respective states?
Hometown on team's official roster was used. States without a 2018 NFL Draft prospect: Alaska, Maine, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Vermont.
