Northern Illinois will wear new uniforms for the trip to Nebraska this weekend. And players are fired up!
Not really. They reacted with the equivalent of a light golf clap.
The Huskies lost a three-point game to Boston College in Week 1 and demolished Eastern Illinois last weekend. They begin a tricky two-game road trip at Nebraska on Saturday, following by San Diego State on Sept. 30.
They have heavy underdogs against the Huskers, who nearly engineered a stunning second-half comeback against Oregon in Week 2. And NIU head coach Rod Carey is probably hoping they have more energy at Memorial Stadium than they did when seeing their new all-white uniforms after practice on Wednesday.

Watch the very unenthusiastic reaction, and compare it to uniform reactions from Oregon State players, or Colorado State players.
