No. 2 J.K. Dobbins
Ohio State – RB
Ohio State led Wisconsin, 14-7, with about 12 minutes remaining in the second quarter of the 2017 Big Ten Championship. The Buckeyes faced 2nd-and-6 from their own 23-yard-line and were a three-and-out away from giving Wisconsin the ball in great field position.
Freshman running back J.K. Dobbins took the handoff from J.T. Barrett at the 20-yard-line at the far hash and was immediately greeted by Badgers' defensive end Conor Sheehy. He zipped past Sheehy, avoided a crowded right side of the line with a cutback into the open field.
Ohio State 21, Wisconsin 7.
Dobbins picked up 79 yards after contact on that 77-yard touchdown run, contributing to his season-long total of 813 yards after contact, an average of 4.2 yards after contact per carry, according to Pro Football Focus.
The four-star recruit and second-ranked all-purpose back in the 2017 class finished the season with 1,403 rushing yards and a yards-per-carry average of 7.2, third among all FBS running backs with at least 175 carries.
