Oklahoma sophomore running back Joe Mixon clearly needs to pay more attention to the content here at HERO Sports. If he had checked The Bench last week, he would have seen our post on how Clemson's Ray Ray McCloud cost his team a touchdown by dropping the ball before he crossed the goal line after a dazzling punt return.
With the Sooner down 14-0 against Ohio State and desperately in need some something good to happen, Mixon returned a kickoff 97 yards for an Oklahoma touchdown. Television replays, however, showed Mixon dropped the ball a good yard short of the end zone to begin his celebration. The difference this week, was all the officials watching missed the early release of the ball (which would have resulted in a touchback) and the score stood. Guess the officials need to be paying attention to HERO Sports too.
