There is nothing I love more than college football rivalries, which is why there is nothing I've despised more about the sport over the past decade or so than conference realignment.
It's not that I care so much about the conferences teams play in but rather the rivalries that have been sacrificed in the name of TV dollars and conference revenue sharing. Other traditional matchups have been halted because universities can't seem to get on the same page anymore.
Two such examples include Pittsburgh versus West Virginia (Backyard Brawl) and in-state foe Penn State.

To remind both the Mountaineers and Nittany Lions how much love Pitt has for them both, this tweet recently went out to mock the rivals of how many more 2017 NFL draft picks the Panthers had.
Now, I am giving Pittsburgh all the kudos in the world for dissing WVU and PSU. This is what college football is all about, but why are Big Ten schools Maryland and Rutgers included in this tweet?
The Panthers play in a totally different conference than the Terrapins and Scarlet Knights. Pitt hasn't played Maryland since 1992 and the schools have only met 5 times in history. While they have played Rutgers 30 times over the years (they both played in the now defunct Big East), they haven't squared off since 2012.
I can possibly see why Pittsburgh trolled Rutgers as they are former conference foes, but why is the world is Maryland on here? This seems like selective trolling at best, because notice Pitt didn't put a different Big Ten team on here like Michigan who had an astounding 11 players taken in the draft.
We give the Panthers an A- for its tweet-trolling techniques, but a C- for including a university 240 miles away that it's played less than half a dozen times in school history.
