The NFL playoffs get cracking on January 6 and roughly a dozen or so squads are attempting to win their divisions or sneak into Wild Card weekend. What are the odds these bubble teams can claim a division crown or finish the year as a 5 or 6 seed?
Miami Dolphins' fans might want to brace themselves for the odds listed below. After starting the season 3-0, the 'Fins have fallen to 5-5 with remaining games against teams jockeying for playoff position, including the Colts, Patriots, and Vikings (Miami does play Buffalo twice, however).
The bookmakers believe their odds are so slim (-800) that you'd have to drop $800 on them not to make the postseason simply to make $100.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Colts have rebounded nicely from a four-game losing streak to win its last three in a row. Andrew Luck and company could practically control their divisional destiny what with contests against the Jaguars, Texans, and Titans (twice) still on the docket. Even if they don't win the AFC South, a Wild Card is certainly in the cards.
