This is the game where an upset is brewing, and I’m calling it now. California (PA) was able to snake their way into the tourney after not even being ranked in the first regional rankings, getting the needed help to slide into the field at the last second.
Assumption though, took their first loss in their last game to an OK Bentley team, and did so without their starting QB Marc Monks who you see compared above with Michael Keir. It is unknown if Monks will be playing Saturday, but being that it is the playoffs I will go with yes.
The key will be Cal’s defense. They have improved over the last month, but did not play any premier competition. The Greyhounds feature one of the best scoring offenses in the land, so it will all be about whether or not the Vulcans can keep them out of the end zone.
In a battle of PSAC and NE10 teams, I go with the conference that has much better competition and bred their team for playoff success.
