Prediction
Wingate was on their way to the top regional seed before falling last week at home, and hopefully that doesn't cause them any issues this week as they look to advance. West Florida on the other hand, is making their first appearance in the D2 Playoffs – in just their second season of existence.
Wingate's rushing ability should be the difference, but as seen above UWF can throw the ball, and the Bulldogs have a slightly tough time trying to defend the pass. If the Argos get a rhythm in the air going, then they might be able to spring the upset.
But after all is said and done, I expect Wingate to come back strong and prove that they are deserving of top billing in the region. They are one of the favorites here, and should play like it on Saturday.
