Between now and the end of April, we will feature some of the NFL stars of tomorrow. Many of these are names from big time college football programs you will recognize, while some will be new to all but the most dedicated followers of the sport.
Today we will look at a player who made headlines at the NFL Scouting Combine for all the wrong reasons. Reuben Foster was a dominant linebacker at Alabama and is seen as one of the best overall players in the 2017 NFL Draft. Teams in the league though hate baggage and it will be interesting to see if he is dropped down draft boards based on the shouting match he got into with a hospital worker that led to him being sent home from the combine on Friday.
It was a bizarre incident that has maybe put the dreaded asterisk beside the name of the unanimous First-Team All-American. Foster is recovering from rotator cuff surgery as it is and he really needed to interview well at the combine and prove to teams his rehab was on schedule. Foster has worked to control the damage, however, sending a letter to all 32 NFL teams where he apologized for the incident, while also promising to make himself available for anyone who wants to ask questions about the situation the day before Alabama's Pro Day.
