The racing protocol has been released for the 36th America's Cup scheduled for Auckland in February 2021, reports watersports magazine Dailystoke.com. Emirates Team New Zealand CEO Grant Dalton presented the Protocol globally via Facebook Live saying: “From the moment we won we have felt a responsibility to release this document as soon as possible to provide the required details that potential teams can now base a challenge on. “The plans are coming together nicely – we shall have a very exciting boat that will be fast and powerful.”
There are now six other teams registered for the oldest trophy in international sport including Stars and Stripes Team USA, Team The Netherlands, Luna Rossa Challenge, INEOS Team UK, American Magic and Malta Altus Challenge.
Some 20 percent or three crew, whichever is higher, must be true nationals of the competing yacht club.
The match will be officially raced in March 2021, preceded by The Prada Cup in January and February 2021.
