5. Drew Hebel, Black Hills State
Stats: 6 INT / 95 Return Yards / 0 TD
Part of the Black Hills State renaissance from 0-11 last year to 5-2 so far this year, Drew Hebel has been a menace to quarterbacks, especially in close games.
Hebel recorded three picks in the first two games of the season, a 34-33 win at Adams State and a 39-36 win at Fort Lewis. He had one in each of the next three games, and none since, but he's still tied for the D2 lead for interceptions. This is basically the redshirt-sophomore's first action with the team. Talk about hot out of the gate.
Black Hills has been one of the best turnarounds this year, and the play of their young defensive back has been one of the big differences between loss and victory.
