4. Stephen Turner, Fairmont State
Stats: 4 INT / 146 Return Yards / 1 TD
Another member of a turnaround squad, the Fairmont defense has been a big reason for the 7-0 start, the program's best since the early 80s.
Turner, a sophomore, was moved from linebacker to the secondary for his second season, and the results have been fantastic for the Falcons. He has piled on four picks in his last four games, including two in week seven against Charleston.
If his first season at the new position can be any indication to what could come in the future, Turner might be one of the best defensive backs in the game before long.
