South Alabama's visit to Georgia State on Thursday night was mostly overshadowed by Stanford–Oregon State and NFL action but fans who did tune in for the Panthers' 21-13 victory got to see one of the most miraculous field goals in football history.
Trailing 14-3 late in the first quarter, the Jaguars trimmed to the deficit to eight points thanks to this 46-yard filed goal from Gavin Patterson that was inches away from hitting all three bars.
