While the Tide and Tigers are only playing for a spot in the national championship and not the actual championship this time, the 2018 Sugar Bowl is still the most anticipated game (thus far) of the college football season. And with the two premier programs in the nation playing fairly close to home — Tuscaloosa is a four-hour drive to New Orleans while Clemson is either a long drive (8-plus hours) or short drive and short flight — you'd think fans would need at least a couple hundred dollars just to get in the door.

However, as of Sunday morning, about 30 hours before kickoff, 600-level tickets hovered around $100 (including fees and electronic delivery or pickup) on StubHub. Tickets on Vivid Seats, Ticket City and other secondary-market websites had similar prices.
Including flights, lodging, food and other game-related items, the Sugar Bowl is still a significant entertainment investment but the tickets themselves are surprisingly reasonable.
