The Syracuse football program is utilizing technology to give their quarterbacks a leg up. The Orange QBs are watching film in virtual reality so they can get an even more in-depth study from practice sessions.
Co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Sean Lewis — himself a college quarterback (and tight end) at Wisconsin from 2004-2007 — runs his quarterbacks through VR film sessions following practices.
As coach Lewis points out, the virtual reality allows the quarterback to literally be inside the play while watching film, giving them a much more expansive look at the film than just a projector on the wall alone.
