Texas A&M has done plenty to deserve their slow start to the 2017 season, but they were the victim of a horrendous officiating call on Saturday vs. Arkansas.
Trailing 21-7 in the second quarter and in dire need of a big play, Aggies' quarterback Kellen Mond took a 1st-and-10 snap from deep in their own territory and ran through the Razorbacks' defense. He made a nice move at the Arkansas 15-yard line and barreled into the end zone.
COMPARE: Texas A&M vs. Any Team
Arkansas 21, Texas A&M 14.
Nope. Instead of pulling within seven, the referee said Mond stepped out of bounds at the 10. Because the Aggies couldn't score and were forced to kick a field goal, the mind-boggling terrible call cost them four points.
Here's a look, which shows Mond didn't come close to stepping out.
This absolutely should have been a Kellen Mond TD, but the play was blown dead at the 10. Not even close to out of bounds. pic.twitter.com/VBBJzuDX1z
