In beating Georgia in January to win his sixth national championship as a head coach, Nick Saban also denied Bulldogs' second-year head coach Kirby Smart his first national championship as a head coach. Smart won four titles as an Alabama assistant from 2007-15 but enters this year in search of his first title as a head coach.
