More than 100 FBS players have rushed for at least 300 yards in a single game but only a handful have rushed for at least 400 yards. And all of the 400-yard games have come since 1999.

LaDainian Tomlinson was the first to do it, setting the FBS single-game rushing record with 406 yards vs. UTEP on Nov. 20, 1999.
Fifteen years later, Melvin Gordon broke the record, rushing for 408 yards vs. Nebraska on Nov. 15, 2015. And just a week later, Oklahoma freshman Samaje Perine had 427 yards vs. Kansas on Nov. 22.
