The Virginia Tech football squad has had a full slate since arriving in Charlotte for Thursday's Belk Bowl matchup with Arkansas. Yesterday, Justin Fuente and the crew took to the local NASCAR track to experience racing more than 200 miles per hour. Today, the Hokies visited Levine Children's Hospital and had one heck of a time.

First, they hung out with a few patients and played with some toys. When that was done, several players gathered around a few children and belted out "Let it Go," the famous song from the movie Frozen.
There's something so awesome about these guys breaking town the tough-guy facade to help put smiles on the faces of kids struggling with illnesses. Check it out.

Can we focus on Bucky Hodges (No. 7) for a second? This is the No. 3 projected tight end in April's NFL Draft, expected to get selected in the second round. Hodges isn't scared to have a good time and lead the song. Doesn't get much better than that.
The Hokies closed out their visit to the hospital by jumping with the children to Metallica's Enter Sandman. Pretty cool stuff.

Many college football fans argue against bowl games, particularly when they have no meaning on the outcome of the season. This is why they matter. Many children look up to these athletes, and for a moment today, patients at the Levine Children got to share a few unforgettable moments with the Virginia Tech football team. Hats off to the Hokies and the Belk Bowl organizers for making this happen. More please.
