The Northwestern State Demons recaptured the momentum vs. Nicholls with a 56-yard Bobby Chan-Chan touchdown catch in which he out-jumped a Nicholls defensive back and broke away to tie the score, 14-14 just before halftime.[divider]

Nicholls captured the Real NSU Challenge trophy, with C.J. Bates tying a single-game school record for touchdown receptions in the process. This 74-yard strike from Chase Fourcade to Bates down the right sideline was the receiver’s third of the game.[divider]

The lone touchdown for Southeastern Louisiana Saturday came on special teams. Freshman Kijuan Lee blocked a Patrick Ponder punt and freshman Jacorey Fuller scooped up the loose ball and returned it 25 yards for a score. The Lions fell to Central Arkansas, 45-10.[divider]
