The Black Diamond Trophy will be on the line for the first time in over a decade as West Virginia and Virginia Tech rekindle a classic rivalry in our nation's capital.
Virgina Tech was better than most expected in 2016, winning 10 games under new head coach Justin Fuente. West Virginia was also a positive surprise last fall, matching the Hokies win total of 10 and finishing second in the Big 12 behind Oklahoma.
The stage is set for a barn burner on the opening weekend on the 2017 season.
