Youngest College Football Coaches: Sean Lewis, Will Healy Lead Youngest FBS Head Coaches

Twenty active FBS head coaches are 40 years old or younger. Thirteen of them have been hired within the last two years, including Kent State's Sean Lewis, who was 31 years old when introduced as Golden Flashes' head coach last year.

Lewis, now, 32, is still the youngest head coach in the FBS, but following the 2018 season, three teams hired coaches 34 years old or younger. Charlotte and Texas State both hired 33-year-olds in Will Healy and Jake Spavital, respectively, and UMass hired 34-year-old Walt Bell.
