I’m picking Northern Illinois to win but for Ball State to cover the spread at +9.5. I’m also predicting the game will go Under 43.5 total points.
Ball State may only have two wins this season, but the Cardinals have kept their recent games close. They haven’t lost by more than 14 points the past four weeks. All of those games have been low-scoring, so I don’t expect this one to be different.
However, Northern Illinois will desperately want to bounce back after losing to Central Michigan. So I think the Huskies find a way to win at home here.
