After losing to Navy earlier this season, Memphis continues to keep its AAC Championship and College Football Playoff berth hopes alive.
The Tigers (6-1, 2-1 AAC) have responded from their only loss with a three-game winning streak against Middle Tennessee, USF, and North Texas. They’ll look for their fourth consecutive victory against Charlotte, which also isn’t playing too badly in recent weeks.
The 49ers are 3-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play, but they’ve won two of their last three games after losing to Navy during their most recent contest. Now they get a chance to get back to .500 if they beat Memphis.

Charlotte vs. Memphis Prediction
I predict Memphis will win and cover the spread at -17.5. I also project the game will go Over 57.5 total points.
After Memphis scored 52 points against North Texas last week – and after the Tigers put up 44 points against Navy earlier in the season – I have a hard time believing this game will hit the Under.
I think Memphis’ offense will simply prove to be superior against Charlotte’s defense. The Tigers have little room for error if they want to accomplish some of their preseason goals, so I don’t think they’re going to take this game lightly.
The 49ers are also capable of putting up some points. A few weeks ago, they beat East Carolina 55-24. So even if this contest is lopsided, I think Charlotte can find the end zone a couple times.
But ultimately I think Memphis is the better team and will win by three touchdowns.
