Xavier Worthy set the record for the fastest 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine last year by clocking a time of 4.21 seconds.
Not everyone who runs fast 40 times plays well once they get to the NFL. But Worthy, a former Texas star, went on to be drafted in the first round by the Kansas City Chiefs and had a successful rookie season. He caught 59 passes for 638 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 104 yards and three more scores.
Will anyone be capable of breaking Worthy’s record any time soon?
No one did this year. But plenty of players, including from the Group of Five, posted some speedy times from the NFL Combine in 2025.
