Last week alone, four Group of Five teams defeated Power Four programs. And earlier this season, a top-five power team was beaten by a G5 squad.
Will that happen again?
Ole Miss, ranked fifth in the Associated Press Top 25, will host Georgia Southern this week. The Rebels are 3-0 and have yet to play in a close game. The Eagles are 2-1 and have responded well after losing to Boise State in Week 1.
The Eagles, win or lose, are capable of putting together a solid performance again.

Georgia Southern vs. Ole Miss Prediction
I predict Ole Miss will win and cover the spread at +35.5. I also project the game will go Over 66.5 total points.
No matter who it’s against, 36 points would be a big margin of victory. But Ole Miss has done that multiple times already, including in a 40-6 triumph at Wake Forest and a 52-3 victory over Middle Tennessee.
I’ve been pretty impressed with Georgia Southern’s offense, which is why I think this contest will hit the Over. But ultimately I think Ole Miss is much more talented and will win convincingly at home.
