Penn State looked vulnerable against a MAC opponent a couple weeks ago. The Nittany Lions (2-0) were trailing against Bowling Green going into halftime before pulling away in the second half.
Will Penn State also have problems this week against Kent State? The Golden Flashes are 0-3 and are looking to earn their first victory of the season or at the very least prove that they can be competitive before starting their conference slate.

Kent State vs. Penn State Prediction
I predict Penn State will win but Kent State will cover the spread at +48.5. I also project the game will go Over 56.5 total points.
Ranked No. 10 in the AP Top 25, Penn State is a great team. The Nittany Lions have also had a week off to get ready for this contest before they take on Big Ten opponents. That’s why I think Penn State will win.
But I also don’t believe this team is perfect. The offense sputtered a bit against Bowling Green. Now, I don’t believe Kent State has the talent that BGSU does, but I do think Kent State is tired of losing and will be pretty motivated in this clash.
I believe Penn State will be up by a couple touchdowns at intermission and will eventually pull away, but I expect the Golden Flashes will keep the winning margin to less than seven touchdowns.
