Even in the wake of an 0-2 start this season and after firing its head coach, Boise State could end up winning the Mountain West after all.
But the Broncos (7-5, 6-2 Mountain West) have a tough matchup ahead. They will travel to take on UNLV (9-3, 6-2) in the Mountain West Championship at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Boise State vs. UNLV Prediction
I’m picking Boise State to win and cover the spread at -2.5. I also predict the game will go Under 59 total points.
The Broncos have won their last three games, two of which were against bowl-eligible teams after former head coach Andy Avalos was fired, by an average of 23.7 points per game. They seem to be playing at their best at the end of the regular season.
Meanwhile, UNLV just lost 37-31 against San Jose State at home last week.
The Rebels had a better record in the regular season than Boise State did, and UNLV might be playing at home, but I think momentum is on Boise State’s side. I believe Boise State’s defense will have a strong performance and will set the Broncos up for another Mountain West title.
