NFL Draft: AAC Top Prospects
1. De’Corian Clark, WR, UTSA
Clark is easily one of the best AAC wide receivers this year. As the team’s third option last season, he totaled 755 yards and eight touchdowns on 51 receptions. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound receiver didn’t catch a pass in his first game in 2023 against Texas State, but people should expect NFL teams to consider drafting him.
2. Sincere Haynesworth, OL, Tulane
Haynesworth is one of the top center prospects in the country. The 6-1, 310-pound senior has been on an All-AAC team the past three years and allowed no sacks and just seven quarterback pressures in 2022. He’s given up five pressures and two sacks through three games in 2023.
3. Michael Pratt, QB, Tulane
Pratt is this high because of his talent, but he could also be moved down lower due to injury concerns after missing two games this season. Still, he’s one of the best AAC quarterbacks. The 6-3, 220-pound junior recorded 3,010 yards, 27 touchdowns, and five interceptions while completing 64% of his passes in 2022.
4. Rashad Wisdom, DB, UTSA
Wisdom could be a good option for NFL teams because of his versatility. He lines up all over the field – in the slot, at free safety, or in the box – and still makes an impact. Though he played in just six games in 2022 due to injury, the 5-9, 210-pound senior could easily rise up draft boards in 2023.
5. Frank Harris, QB, UTSA
Harris was in the conversation for the best Group of Five quarterback heading into the season. The 6-foot, 205-pound signal caller was the Conference USA MVP last year after throwing for 4,063 yards, 32 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while running for 602 yards and nine scores. He did have a bit of a slow start after throwing three interceptions to open the season against Houston, but he bounced back and led the Roadrunners to a win over Texas State the following week. He also missed UTSA’s game last week against Army due to injury.
