I’m picking Sam Houston to win but for UTEP to cover the spread at +3.5. I’m also predicting the game will go Under 36.5 total points.
There’s no question Sam Houston and UTEP are better on defense. Both teams are in the top five in CUSA in terms of scoring defense but are the bottom two teams in the league in scoring offense, so that’s why I think this game will be close.
But if it does become a defensive battle, I think that will be a positive for Sam Houston. The Bearkats have been in close games three of the past four weeks, so I think they finally find a way to win.
