Florida State Bookstore Supports Miami Football Coach With “Keep Al Golden” Shirts

Florida State Bookstore Supports Miami Football Coach With “Keep Al Golden” Shirts

The Florida State–Miami rivalry doesn’t carry nearly the weight that it did even 10-15 years ago but the in-state ACC rivalry is still very much alive. The two schools are set to square off for the 60th time and despite FSU’s current five-game winning streak, Miami still leads the all-time series, 31-28.

The two biggest storylines for the game are Florida State’s ability to stay in the playoff conversation and Al Golden’s job security. It is unclear if the Miami administration is prepared to make a change if the fifth-year man fails to top seven wins for the fourth time since arriving from Temple in 2011. A huge road-win over the Seminoles on Saturday would leave Golden’s team at 4-1 and in prime position to match or top their nine-win mark from 2013.

Although FSU fans won’t be cheering for Golden this week, they apparently hope he stays around and continues to lose to the ‘Noles, something he’s done in each season. Check out these t-shirts currently available in the FSU bookstore:
