As the college coaches say, it's not just the Xs and the Os, it's also about the Jimmys and the Joes. Recruiting is the lifeblood of college football, and many coaches will tell you it is just as important if not more important to be good at recruiting than to sculpt them and mold them on campus. Finding the right fit for your program, finding a kid who buys into your system … it takes a fine eye and FCS coaches don't have the luxury of bottomless budgets. Their judgment call is key, and they hit it out of the park more than people realize.
