Georgia Quarterback Jake Fromm Leads 2018 Heisman Race

The confetti has not yet been swept up in Atlanta, but the favorites have been declared for 2018's national championship and Heisman trophy. While Vegas is expecting Alabama to repeat, it is Georgia's Jake Fromm who is the way-too-early front runner for the 2018 Heisman Trophy.

According to Sports Betting Dime, Fromm is a 10/1 to favorite, with Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley, Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor, Georgia running back D'Andre Swift and Stanford running back Bryce Love rounding out the top five.

Inside The Odds:

  • Of the 15 players with the best odds, 12 are quarterbacks.
  • Five of the 21 listed players are first-time starters for their schools
  • There are two Alabama quarterbacks listed. Jalen Hurts (22/1) and Tua Tagovailoa (50/1)
  • Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver and Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa are 35/1 longshots and are the only defensive players to make the list.
  • Conference breakdown is six from the SEC, five from the Big Ten, four from the Pac-12, two from the Big 12, two from the American, and two from the ACC
