Clemson might have fallen two games short of defending their national title on New Year's Day when they loss to Alabama 24-6 last season, but that hasn't stopped the bookmakers from installing them as massive favorites to win the ACC this year.

In fact, Dabo Swinney's bunch are the biggest favorites to win a Power 5 conference out of the 65 college football squads this fall. Getting back to the playoffs won't be easy, however, as the Tigers face what should be two challenging road games this season starting with Texas A&M in week 2 and at Florida State the Saturday before Halloween.
Speaking of the Seminoles, it's interesting to see that they possess the third-best odds to win the conference despite a horrendous 7-6 2017 campaign. Things were so bad at FSU that the school rescheduled a previously canceled September matchup against UL-Monroe in early December just to get to six wins. They parlayed those half dozen victories into an Independence Bowl win over Southern Mississippi that nobody will remember.
The longest shot to win the ACC? That belongs to North Carolina by a country mile. The squad's September non-conference games at California and home to last year's "National Champions" in Central Florida certainly doesn't help matters.
