Texas Tech was the first Big 12 football team to lose last season, falling to Ole Miss in the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 1. Shortly thereafter, Texas lost to Maryland, and, later that evening, Kansas fell to Nicholls.
Kansas State joined the beatens in Week 2 with a loss to Mississippi State, and three teams — Iowa State, Baylor, and TCU — lost their first game in Week 3. Oklahoma State suffered their first loss in Week 4, while Oklahoma and West Virginia didn't lose until Weeks 6 and 7, respectively.
How long will each Big 12 team remain undefeated in 2019?
Baylor: 3.5 Games
Like most over/unders in this exercise, Baylor's game total is based on one game: Iowa State at Baylor in Week 5.
Baylor will roll over Stephen F. Austin, UTSA and Rice in non-conference play before hosting Iowa State on Sept. 28 in a game that could prove the Bears are a legitimate outside contender for the Big 12 title game.

Iowa State: 4 Games
Iowa State is a better team than Iowa, whom they host in Week 3 (after a Week 2 bye). Because the Cyclones should win that game, I'm pushing their game total through that Week 5 game at Baylor. They host TCU a week later.
Kansas: 2 Games
It's never smart to predict wins for Kansas football. After all, they have only 18 of them in the last nine seasons and have lost countless games to bad teams.
Still, Kansas should beat Indiana State in Week 1 and Coastal Carolina in Week 2. They shouldn't beat Boston College in Week 3.
Beat the bad teams, it's a push. Lose to a bad team, the under hits. Beat one decent team, the over hits.

Kansas State: 2 Games
Kansas State is undergoing only their third coaching transition in the last three decades, and Nicholls is legit, but the Wildcats should open 2-0 with wins over the Colonels and Bowling Green.
They'll be heavy underdogs in Week 3 at Mississippi State.
Oklahoma: 6 Games
Oklahoma started 5-0 last year before losing to Texas in Week 6. They play Texas at the Cotton Bowl in their sixth game this season, though it's Week 7 thanks to a Week 4 bye.
Oklahoma will be heavy favorites in their first five games (Houston, South Dakota, UCLA, Texas Tech, and Kansas) before facing a Texas team they've lost to in three of the last seven years.
Oklahoma State: 3 Games
Another over/under with strong push potential, Oklahoma State opens against three vastly inferior opponents — at Oregon State, vs. McNeese, vs. Tulsa — before their first challenge: at Texas in Week 4.
If this was an actual betting opportunity, it's a clear stay-away game. There's minimal winning potential on either side of the bet.
Texas: 1.5 Games
This is easy for the last year's last remaining unbeaten: Beat LSU in Week 2, the over hits. Lose to LSU in Week 2, the under hits.

Texas Tech: 2.5 Games
Montana State is capable of an upset in Lubbock in Week 1, but the Red Raiders are still favorites and should win Matt Wells' debut. They host UTEP in Week 2 before visiting Arizona in Week 3 and Oklahoma in Week 4.
This game total will get a lot more clarity after Arizona's Week 1 game at Hawai'i.
West Virginia: 1 Game
My Week 1 upset pick: James Madison over West Virginia. Nonetheless, the Mountaineers are Week 1 favorites, and a one-game total is more likely to draw even bets. West Virginia visits Mizzou in Week 2.
