The first 2018 College Football Playoff Rankings will be revealed on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
The year's Selection Committee consists of 13 members, eight of whom must recuse themselves if or when discussions involve teams they are or have been affiliated with, among them Oklahoma athletics director Joe Castiglione, former Central Michigan head coach Herb Deromedi and former Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer.
Beginning Oct. 30, the 13 members will release College Football Playoff Rankings each week for six consecutive weeks, the last of which will be the final rankings that include the four playoff teams. The first rankings are set to be revealed after Week 9
